Arbonauts

Arbonauts is a collaborative company with an experimental core.

About us

Arbonauts is led by artists Helen Galliano and Dimitri Launder. Founded in 2012, we create site-specific performance at the meeting point of theatre, installation and dance, working with movement, site and sound. Arbonauts is a multi-disciplinary company with a socially-engaged core. All our work is made in collaboration with others – often in combination with other creatives and community participants. We’ve taken 1000+ people into a tunnel 10m under the Thames, created a journey of reimagined birdsong along ½ kilometre of coastline and danced with open-water swimmers in a tidal pool on the Essex coast.

Our partners and supporters indicate the breadth of our creative reach, including: Arts Council England, British Council, Estuary Festival, Goethe Institut, Inside Out Dorset, Latitude Festival, Metal, Shoreditch Town Hall, Southwark Council and Metropolis Festival.

Immersive experience experts Arbonauts are back with another mind-bending mixture of art, theatre and music.
